A shamed school teacher nabbed trawling a seedy dogging website for sex has quit.
Tommy Murphy, 58, said he was “so very sorry” over the scandal at St Matthew’s Academy in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.
The dad-of-two was suspended last week after we revealed his lust for kinky thrills.
But last night the ex-head of business said: “I’m thoroughly ashamed of my actions and so very sorry for the pain and suffering I’ve caused so many people. I have submitted my resignation to North Ayrshire Council which I hope avoids prolonging the distress for my family, friends and colleagues.”
Murphy appeared on dogging.co.uk under the user name ‘Saltcoatstommy’, listing ‘interests’ including “swinging and webcam fun”. His profile showed what was thought to be him flashing his manhood.
A North Ayrshire Council spokeswoman said: “He is no longer employed by us.”
