Outrage has been sparked among dog walkers and park users at a local Lancashire beauty spot after children allegedly witnessed people meeting there for sex Lancashire Dogging style

Police have confirmed they are aware of activities going on at the park and are monitoring the situation.

The concerned reader contacted the Lancashire Evening Post to voice his disgust at activities spotted on the entrance car park.

He said: “I don’t care what they do. If they are going to do it they should be discreet.

“Everyone knows why they are there, they are quite open about it.”

Previously Let’s Go Dogging.com has highlighted Cuerden Valley car park, which is off the A49 Wigan Road, as a “dogging” hotspot.

It says: “It’s a small car park on the way to Bamber Bridge from Chorley.

“Good when it is dark, some action for every type of person, but you must approach because people can be shy.”

Insp Steve Evans of Leyland Police said: “ We have ran an operation there previously. We are paying attention to it and if we get concerns reported to us we will act on those concerns.

“We haven’t seen a noticeable increase in activity there, it is ongoing. A man was arrested two months ago for exposing himself though we believe he was loitering, rather than meeting there for sex. He is being dealt with by the courts.

“We would encourage anyone with concerns to contact us if there is anything untowards going on then we can direct our resources appropriately.”

Other beauty spots are notorious for dogging including Moor Park in Preston and areas of Beacon Fell in Longridge.
