A UK based website is detailing locations throughout Cork where public sex acts are taking place.
Swing4Ireland.com details 49 different locations across Cork where ‘dogging’ meetings take place. ‘Dogging’ refers to pre-arranged meetings where participants watch couples have sex in their cars, often on roadsides
The list of ‘dogging’ spots include a lay-by on the Mallow-Cork Road, a laneway near a Buttevant school and the Kilworth Woods outside Fermoy.
One user of the website suggests a supermarket carpark in Ballincollig as a potential late night spot. The list of locations has come to light following reports of similar directories detailing dogging areas across the country.
One poster on the website warns of a Garda presence on the Mallow road.
“Beware of police presence. Was there last Tues night when they popped in very sneakely. Bit of a passion killer (for a little bit). We moved on to better pastures,” the anonymous post read.
Another post is by a single male who invites couple to late-night meetings at the Quarterstown Industrial Estate near Mallow’s Sugar Factory.
However, potential participants run the risk of running foul of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 which outlaws the distribution or display in public place of material which is threatening, abusive, insulting or obscene.
Swing4ireland.com has 97,600 registered members, though registration on the site is not necessary to see the list. A search on the site’s domain name shows it is registered to the English-based company Symbios Solutions Ltd.

RESIDENTS of a road in Chalfont St Giles are shocked that woodland near their homes is being used for the illegal sexual practice of ‘dogging’.
The woods, off Bottrells Lane, which links the two villages, was apparently first used for the activity earlier this month, but is attracting an increasing number of people, according to internet sites.
Dogging is a practice in which people arrange to have sex in cars while others gather to watch them. It is a criminal offence and anyone caught faces prosecution for indecent exposure.
In recent weeks, a particular spot in the woods has become popular and, although most of the activity takes place late at night, it is also possible to find people there in the late afternoon and early evenings, according to a website.
One website user, posting on July 14, said: “This area is quite a new one, but more and more people have started using it over the last couple of weeks. There are lots of secluded areas which are easy to hide away in.”
Another said: “Try Bottrells Lane woods. Look for areas near to small car parking areas after dark and you’ll find some action.”
Residents were shocked to discover that the woodland is being used for the activity.
Paula Hunter, 46, said: “It is disgusting. I had no idea that this was happening so close to where we live. People take their children to that area to play, so it doesn’t bear thinking about what they could stumble upon.
“I’ve got two children myself, of 11 and nine, and there is no way I would allow them to go there now, until I know for sure that this has stopped. I am really shocked to find out about this.”
According to websites, there are other prominent dogging sites in South Bucks and police are being urged to crack down on the problem.
Kevin Hinchliffe, 57, said: “I’d heard about this going on in those woods, but it is a large area and I wasn’t sure exactly where it was going on.
“The police need to put a stop to this quickly, because it is really unpleasant to know it’s going on so close to where you live. It’s potentially very dangerous as well, especially for families with young kids.”

A couple accused of having sex in a children’s play area in Crawley have been charged with a public order offence.
The man, aged 27, and woman, aged 21, are each facing a charge of causing alarm and distress in a public place on June 9.
Police said they were allegedly seen in Bewbush play park in the afternoon by a group of primary school children.
They have been bailed to appear before Crawley magistrates on July 27

A GAY man was dragged out of his car by a thief and dumped half naked after being tricked into taking off his trousers at a notorious Midland dogging hotspot.
Lewis Harding, 19, from Kingshurst, Birmingham, targetted his 45-year-old victim by knocking on his window and asking: “Are you up for any fun?” He then made off with the man’s car after dragging him out of the front seat.
Harding will be sentenced next month.
