Is Dogging legal? The truth is revealed

Is dogging legal? Yes it is… but it’s a lot more complicated than that.

Nothing in law specifically says that dogging is illegal! However the police could use a multitude of other public offences for prosecution, should you ever get caught with your pants down. That said, arrests are often seen as the last resort though by the police so you’ll probably end up with a ticking off and nothing but naughty memories.

Knowing where you stand legally before a meet-up is important for all our members. Avoid being prosecuted for things like indecent exposure, public lewdness or gross indecency.

If you’re bored one evening, we recommend you read up on the Sexual offences act 2003 or section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986
